Artist Statement

Hey there, so my name is Andrew Henry and I'm a Media major at Hunter college. I'm currently enrolled in Media 160 because it is imperative for me to be technologically savvy in the industry that I will eventually be in. Media 160 also fulfills a requirement for me to graduate so that's pretty cool too. To be quite honest with you there are so many different categories in media that I see myself working in but, the most prominent one would have to be television production. I love seeing shows come to life, and I am so intrigued at how hard people work behind the scenes. It is definitely my dream to be some kind of executive producer in a sitcom or talk show. I'm leaning more towards a talk show though. Talk shows just seem so fun to me, especially those that have a segment on "Hot Topic" (pop culture gossip). Talk shows like "The View" and "The Wendy Williams Show" seem like the ideal talk show for me to work with. I do like "Dr. Phil" too on account of him having some dramatic episodes that intrigue me. I like to say that I was born into the social media era so at some point I want to be involved in creating new concepts that pertain to the way we interact through social media. Furthermore, it is another one of my goals to be apart of technology in relation to music. I love music and feel like it is a universal language. After Holy Alejandro (my blog name) is my stage name. I am a musician and I would love to incorporate music and media in my career. That's why I really feel like being an executive in a talk show would be so perfect for me. I would get the chance to hear other artist perform and used technology and techniques that I've learned throughout my college education to not only elevate their performances but showcase them in a new light.
